It is not often that you enter a rental property and immediately feel the city tension drain from you. Using clever design, this small house in Musk has been transformed into a wonderfully relaxing space. Situated just minutes from Daylesford and the Wombat State Forest, it is possible to walk in the surrounding countryside and enjoy mineral springs and some of the State's most beautiful gardens.

Stayed at Musk Creek Hollow

We thought the Japanese styled cottage was very cosy and exactly what we were looking for. Our puppy enjoyed exploring the gardens too. The location was perfect, within easy reach of the surrounding spa/wineries/restaurants.

We felt like we were back on holidays in Japan. It really was a very relaxing place to stay. Hours spent watching the landscape at dusk and sunset with the fireplace roaring. Dog friendly and our puppy loved it! Nice and secure front yard for him to roam and explore. Just a short drive into town and some amazing stops on the way ... wineries, Istra, Sunday market and a lovely lunch at Wombat Hill Cafe. Super cosy and clean.

A few words to let you know we've enjoyed our stay here. The charm and character of this cottage is delightful. The floor to ceiling light flowing through the living room is a great feature ... the many little birds foraging in the back garden were a delight. The bed was excellent ... warm and comfortable. We have appreciated your excellent communication prior to our arrival, also the pantry items to get us started. These few days at Musk Creek Hollow have been a real treat ... for body and soul. You have thought of everything to make all of the above possible. All cosy indoors yet a part of the outdoors! Kind regards and many thanks.

Stayed at Musk Creek Hollow

We stayed at Musk Creek Hollow in October 2012 and loved it. It's super cute, just far enough out of town to feel like it, but conveniently close enough. Everything about this place is cute and comfortable. It has a wonderful feel to it, with enormous windows framing stunning gardens and letting in loads of natural light. The gardens and burbling creek really are a wonderful setting. Our labrador loved roaming about in the back garden (and we always had a view of what he was up to). We had a spectacular dinner at The Lake House. There's an ample gourmet breakfast included and even a wood-fired oven for those who are adventurous in the kitchen. Highly recommended for a cute, comfortable escape for a couple and their pooch with a lil' bit more of a country feel.

Stayed at Musk Creek Hollow

Musk Creek Hollow is a cosy and relaxing place to stay. We usually stay for three nights - love it - especially the fireplace and the big windows to watch the birds from. It's got everything so that you never need to leave. But it's less than 10 minutes to the main street of Daylesford, so not too far away to enjoy the lovely restaurants and shops. Highly recommend Musk Creek Hollow. We wouldn't stay anywhere else in Daylesford.

Everything was fine for our stay. All that we expected! And it was cool enough to make good use of the wood burner. We enjoyed a peaceful long weekend and celebrated our anniversary over a long Sunday at the Perfect Drop in Daylesford ... highly recommended.

You pay attention to detail which is what I value. CDs, DVDs, candles ... The place is well looked after. Makes you feel responsible as a guest too. It was all there.
