Marlee – what a hideaway! Queen bed, bush setting, privacy
Couple's hideaway, private, bush, cosy, wood fire, birds and wildlife, stylish, WIFI, walk tracks
Marlee is a very cute, little cottage tucked away in bush yet just 2 minutes drive from Daylesford. Offering something a bit different to all the old miner’s cottages, Marlee is more modern and a bit like a large cabin. She is tastefully styled and perfect for one person or a couple looking for peace and tranquillity. Those who particularly enjoy bush walks (Tipperary Spring is close by) will love the idea of walking tracks right outside your door. Trees and shrubs surround the cottage and there’s a small damn tucked in the valley close by, so you will see plenty of birds and other wildlife. Marlee is the Daylesford escape that really gives you a restful weekend, far from the hub of city life. You won’t hear traffic, voices or activity yet you have the option to quickly “pop” into town if need be.
Marlee is fully self-contained with a kitchen and open plan living that includes the dining area and snug. Comfortable seating, a large TV, rustic outlook, plus a wood fire (seasonal) makes for a great stay whatever the season.
The queen bedroom has an en-suite (shower, toilet and vanity) and there is also a little sunny nook where you can check your computer or catch up on a bit of work. But don’t stay there long…there is plenty to do in Daylesford.
Like many properties in the country, this cottage is on tank water that is perfectly drinkable, however, we suggest you bring your own bottled water if that’s what you prefer. Although on one level, Marlee is not wheelchair friendly.
