The Farm at Clydesdale

The Farm at Clydesdale is a fabulous property to escape to, for the weekend or longer (for instance during the school holidays) – it’s a real experience of country life.  The Farm sits on 50 acres of farmland which includes 500 meters of creek frontage and bush, where you can explore to your heart’s content.  Set amongst the rolling hills of Clydesdale, this property will not disappoint.  This is a very comfortable home with crisp and fresh styling,  3 bedrooms sleeping up to 6 people (and an option to sleep an extra), a bathroom with the  shower over the bath, a separate toilet, with open living and dining.  The full kitchen includes a dishwasher and coffee pod machine and is freshly appointed and the deck is spacious with outdoor seating.

Fantastic for a family because there is plenty for the kids to explore – from the cubby house, trampoline and swing set to the paddocks and the creek.  There are 360 degree views of the surrounding countryside from the farmhouse so keep an eye on the kids exploits, while you relax in the afternoon sun on the deck.

The Farm is a 9-minute drive to Newstead, a thriving vibrant town on the Loddon River;  and Daylesford is about 20 minutes from the property one way with Castlemaine not far in the other direction.  The surrounding towns have some great shopping, and the weekend markets are heaps of fun for everyone.

Eaglemont is a large, 6 bedroom, modern country home situated just 10 minutes from Daylesford on several acres of manicured grounds, bush and trees and an ornamental lake. This amazing property (perfect for a large family or group of friends) has many fabulous features, both inside and out, and guests will undoubtedly enjoy all this lovely home has to offer.  Painstakingly built with stylish furnishings and quality finishing, this immaculately presented property will not disappoint.

The main living area is extensive and includes seating, dining and the fully equipped kitchen which is filled with modern appliances including a state of the art coffee machine, a variety of different cooking and oven options, dishwasher, large fridge/freezer and plenty of cupboard space.   Throughout the house and grounds, you will be able to enjoy lots of seating areas, entertainment spaces and spots for social activities.

The six bedrooms cater for up to 12 guests very comfortably and offer different bed configurations (super king & king splits).  However, if you wish to bring a few more guests, we can cater for up to 8 extras, but these will be housed on sofa beds (located in the bedrooms) or the single and trundle beds in the loft.  We can also provide portable cots and high chairs for infants. In terms of bathrooms, there is one en-suite, 2 general bathrooms and a powder room, that includes the 4th toilet.

Heating and cooling include split systems and zoned, ducted heating throughout, a gas heater and a wood fire heater so you are assured of being comfortable at all times.   WIFI and Foxtel are being installed, but not available yet.  Children are welcome, however, parents must be vigilant at all times, as the lake is not fenced.   Sorry, no pets allowed.

Pembroke is a delightfully restored, gorgeous two bedroom cottage, centrally located and within walking distance to the main street of Daylesford.  Perfect for one or two couples, or a small family (where 2 children can share a bed), plus it is pet friendly for a small well-behaved dog.  Pembroke will tick many boxes for your weekend escape.  It is so close to most of Daylesford’s main attractions with many others a short car drive away.  Petite, trendy and chic – this cottage is a winner.

The living area combines the fully equipped kitchen, lounge and formal dining room plus there is a bar style bench for more informal eating.   There are several heating and cooling options that include the feature wood fire and central heating plus split systems, and fans in both bedrooms.  Guests are sure to be toasty warm in winter and nicely cool in summer.  A medium sized TV in the living room offers standard TV channels.  (WIFI and Apple TV).

The two bedrooms are small and compact, with standard queen beds.  Guests share a spacious bathroom complete with a standard bath, shower over the bath, vanity, toilet and washing machine (no dryer).

There are a handful of steps outside and inside the property but all living is on the ground floor (although not wheelchair friendly).    Daylesford Lake, the Mill Markets and the town centre are just minutes walk from the cottage.  Everything else within Daylesford is just a few minutes drive.

Mortons is a lovingly renovated two-storey farmhouse, right in the heart of Glenlyon and just 8 minutes drive from Daylesford.  Completely refurbished and revamped, Mortons oozes country comfort and Hampton style and guests will automatically relax, unwind and thoroughly enjoy every aspect of the property.

With the three bedrooms upstairs, the open plan living area downstairs, the study off the lounge and the patio and entertainment area outside, there are plenty of places to be.  There’s a full kitchen, dining table for 8 and very comfortable seating in front of a large wall mounted TV.  A wood burning fire plus split systems and fans cater for heating and cooling throughout.

Upstairs the master has a queen bed and large en-suite with shower and feature bath.  The second bedroom has a double and third bedroom a king single, so this sleeps 5 people comfortably.  (For a sixth or seventh guest, please talk to our office about the option on offer of a sofa bed at an additional cost).   A second bathroom has a shower over the bath and is at the bottom of the very cute staircase.  High ceilings, feature windows, stylish décor and great indoor/outdoor living are all great characteristics of this property.

Shut the gate behind you, let the dog off the lead, send the kids to discover the cubby house and set yourselves up for some R&R.   Mortons is also a lovely spot for a small girls group or couple’s retreat.  The Glenlyon Store is just up the road.  Wineries and other favourite spots like Trentham, Woodend or Hepburn are just a short distance by car.

NB:  Whereas the garden is very flat, the 2 levels mean it is not disabled or elderly friendly.

Olive Grove

Olive Grove is a fabulous, unique and stylish rural property set on 18 acres of orchards, gardens, walkways and bush and is barely seven minutes drive from Daylesford.  From the moment you arrive at the iron gates and Mediterranean driveway, you won’t be disappointed.  Outside there are the hundreds of olive trees, expansive and stunning rural views, plenty of gardens, walking tracks throughout and even some farm animals in the paddock.

The main hub of the house is the central entertainment and living space where guests can comfortably mix and mingle, either whilst preparing meals utilising the European style kitchen with feature stove, cathedral ceilings and large pantry; or chat around the large dining table or sit on the gorgeously comfortable massive sofa in front of the gas log fire overlooking the deck and the olive groves beyond .

This property comfortably sleeps 13 across 7 bedrooms and utilising 5 bathrooms; and would not only suit couples, families and friends but would also be a great space for a small function, a business retreat or an intimate wedding.   Bedrooms have mixed bed configurations, including standard queen beds, king splits and a single room so there are loads of options for your sleeping requirements.

Choose from a number of entertaining areas including the second smaller living room, more like a snug, where you may just want some peace and quiet.  Watch the children playing in the garden, have a game of chess on the super-sized outdoor board, look out for the old tourist train chugging by on a Sunday or just chill and chat on the deck.  There are lots of walks throughout the property and you can say hello to the mix of farm animals near the gazebo and dam.

Teachers House

Teachers House is a recently renovated Victorian cottage, right in the heart of Trentham and well positioned for easy access to the cafes, the famous Red Beard Bakery and the gorgeous shops.

A perfect escape for a family of six, couples or singles, the cottage has 3 bedrooms (two with queen beds, and 2 singles).  The bathroom has an oval bath and separate shower; the toilet is next door.

You are sure to enjoy lots of social interaction as the living room, full kitchen and dining are open plan and spacious and lead onto the back deck and large garden (great for a bit of footy or cricket).   A wood fire (Ned Kelly style) in the middle of this space heats the whole area and ensures you are cosy in winter.   The air con takes care of cooling in summer.  All the bedrooms have oil heaters.

Marlee is a very cute, little cottage tucked away in bush yet just 2 minutes drive from Daylesford.  Offering something a bit different to all the old miner’s cottages, Marlee is more modern and a bit like a large cabin.  She is tastefully styled and perfect for one person or a couple looking for peace and tranquillity. Those who particularly enjoy bush walks (Tipperary Spring is close by) will love the idea of walking tracks right outside your door.  Trees and shrubs surround the cottage and there’s a small damn tucked in the valley close by, so you will see plenty of birds and other wildlife.  Marlee is the Daylesford escape that really gives you a restful weekend, far from the hub of city life.  You won’t hear traffic, voices or activity yet you have the option to quickly “pop” into town if need be.

Marlee is fully self-contained with a kitchen and open plan living that includes the dining area and snug.  Comfortable seating, a large TV, rustic outlook, plus a wood fire (seasonal) makes for a great stay whatever the season.

The queen bedroom has an en-suite (shower, toilet and vanity) and there is also a little sunny nook where you can check your computer or catch up on a bit of work.  But don’t stay there long…there is plenty to do in Daylesford.

Like many properties in the country, this cottage is on tank water that is perfectly drinkable, however, we suggest you bring your own bottled water if that’s what you prefer.  Although on one level, Marlee is not wheelchair friendly.

Musk Vale Villa

Musk Vale Villa, just 5 minutes drive from Daylesford, is a fantastic option for families, friends or 4 couples who don’t need to be in the town centre and would like privacy and space.  Each of the four bedrooms has a standard queen bed (the master with an en-suite) and three bedrooms have large robes.  The Villa is particularly suitable for guests who have a function at Sault, which is a 2-minute drive; or families with children because the 1 acre of garden is secure, fully fenced and you can bring your well-behaved pet.  The property is on a flat section, all on one level and has easy access so fine for any age group.   

The kitchen, dining and living area is open plan and leads to the outdoor deck and entertainment area (outside dining table for 8 plus extra chairs).  As some of the deck is undercover, it is usable even when it is raining and you can enjoy the manicured garden with an abundance of fruit trees including olive, apricot, pear, apple, plum and cherry plus you can keep an eye on the children.

There are 2 bathrooms including an en-suite off the master bedroom and the second bathroom includes a standard bath, separate shower and vanity, with the toilet right next door.

Please note the owners of this property utilise products that are environmentally friendly (cleaning and washing) due to the internal systems.  The water from the taps is natural spring water, which is a fantastic alternative to town water.  The owner has supplied some bottled water for your use if you prefer,  however, we suggest you bring your own supply of bottled water if the tank water is not a preference.

Sadiki is a secluded, rustic bungalow, tucked away in a raw bush setting halfway between Daylesford and Hepburn Springs, just off the main Hepburn road.  Ideal for a single person or a couple, Sadiki is nestled in the treetops and offers privacy and seclusion with no close neighbours. The location is also perfect for those who enjoy walking, as you can head to some of the best local eateries, cafes and shops either in the busy hub of Daylesford, or the quieter more gentle Hepburn.
