Frequently Asked Questions

1. How do I book a property?
You have several options and the easiest and most cost efficient is to book online whenever you like, 24 hours/7 days a week. Our secure website; www.dabs.com.au is simple to navigate and you can book your choice of property in a matter of
minutes and find out almost all the information you’ll ever need. Remember your online bookings will save you a $10 online booking bonus per night! Alternatively, just call in and see us at our office at 94 Vincent Street, Daylesford – conveniently located between the Post Office and the Visitor Information Centre, just by the first roundabout.
2. What deposit will I need to pay?
A 50% deposit will confirm your booking, with the balance being paid 14 days prior to your arrival. If booking online you will need to pay the full amount in order to receive our online booking bonus of $10 per night. All deposits need to be received within three working days of making your booking. If payment has not cleared our bank by your arrival, we may need to take a credit card holding deposit until such time as the funds have cleared.
3. With no credit card how will I pay?
We will accept bank cheques, money orders or a direct deposit EFT transfer to our bank account. For security purposes however you will need a valid credit card at time of check in or a cash bond will be required. Just call our office on 03 5348 1448 to obtain our bank account details.
4. We only need one bedroom – what if we book a multiple bedroom property – do we have to share our accommodation with other guests?
Such single bedroom bookings do not require you to share the property with other guests. The tariff will vary depending on how many rooms you book. Guests are always given sole occupancy for all our properties. Multiple bedroom properties are always quoted at the “full house tariff” when booked more than two weeks in advance.
5. What is a “full house tariff”?
The cost of the property when all rooms are booked is the “full house tariff”. The use of “full house tariff” ensures that we only book appropriate sized properties for the size of the group booking the accommodation. This way we realise the full potential of all our properties.
6. What happens with the tariff if there are three of us staying, but one guest for only one night?
The tariff is determined by the number of bedrooms used, for either one night or the duration of the booking.
7. My time is limited and I can only stay for one night – will you accept single night bookings?
Single night bookings are available midweek from Sunday to Thursday, excluding public holidays. For weekends, as is accepted practice across this region, a two night minimum generally applies.
